Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Susan (Soo Young) Kim attended Virginia Tech for her undergraduate studies and earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She began her veterinary journey at Family Veterinary Hospital, where she worked as an assistant for seven years before graduating vet school — and has since returned as a full-time veterinarian. Her long-standing connection to the hospital reflects her deep commitment to the team, the clients, and their pets.
Dr. Kim’s clinical interests include soft tissue surgery and dermatology. She’s passionate about providing thorough, personalized care and believes in building strong relationships with pet owners through clear communication and compassion.
Outside of work, she enjoys golfing, staying active, and discovering new restaurants as a dedicated, self-proclaimed foodie. She lives with her two cats, Ollie and Penelope, who serve as her daily inspiration.
